Description
It is a flux-cored wire designed for joining corrosion-resistant Cr-Ni-Mo stainless steels with low carbon content, as well as stabilized and unstabilized grades of similar or matching characteristics that are resistant to chemical agents. It is used on base metals of comparable composition, and the weld metal provides corrosion resistance up to 400°C. It also offers oxidation resistance up to 800°C in air and oxidizing gas atmospheres.
Its low carbon content eliminates the risk of intergranular corrosion. The deposited weld metal can be highly polished. It is also approved for joining austenitic to ferritic steels (stringer bead welding).
The recommended shielding gas is Ar + 15–25% CO₂, which provides optimal weldability.
