Description
The CORODUR 250 K is a high-deposition wire alloyed with Mn-Cr. The fully austenitic weld metal provides high ductility and serves as an excellent buffer layer. It is suitable for build-up layers prior to hardfacing or for welding over old hardfacing deposits, as it produces a tough, ductile weld metal. The deposited layer withstands high shrinkage stresses and impact loads. The weld deposits work-harden up to 500 HB, are stainless, and non-magnetic. For optimal results, remove any rust, dirt, oil, or grease from the workpiece. If an existing hardfacing layer is present, remove it to avoid cracking.
